| The RockTavern Chapter conducts monthly
training sessions from April - September. We usually host two training clinics per month with some months
having as many as three clinics.Clinics are organized. We collectively work on specific areas of training however, you
are also free to work on whatever skills that you or your dog need to develop. The Chapter
has many experienced dog trainers who will be happy to make their expertise available to you. Among our membership; we have
three NAVHDA judges (one senior judge), and three AKC hunt test judges. Additionally, there will be a variety of training
aids available for your use at the session. The Chapter will have birds available for training.
We charge only our costs for the birds plus a small pick up fee. We ask only that you contact our Bird Steward (Robert Budin
) and reserve the number and type of birds you will need. The bird orders must be phoned into Bob or emailed to Bob the Sunday
night prior to the next clinic. Our training clinics are held in Newburgh New
York among 7000 plus acres and 5 ponds of prime areas to train! Visitors
from other chapters are welcomed to the RockTavern Chapter. We enjoy having other chapter members join us at the RockTavern Chapter. If you are an existing NAVHDA member we
ask that you join our chapter to be able to train with us. If you are new to NAVHDA then we will allow a one time visit without
having to be a member of our chapter. After that first visit to continue to train with the chapter you will need to join the
chapter. There will still be the $7.00 guest fee to participate. Get International Form
